Weather

Clear skies, calm winds, cold temps (high of 14F measured at nearby weather station)

Snowpack

Approx 12-18 inches of settled storm snow over a defined surface hoar layer that was buried on 1/19. I've been cautiously skiing fist hard storm snow all week waiting for the new snow to become bonded enough to propagate a fracture. Today was that today.

Avalanche

Two skier triggered avalanches this morning on east aspects around 11000'. One was on the skiers right side of Harris's Headwall (SS-AS/c-R1-D2) and the other was further south on the ridge, at near the same elevation and on the same aspect (SS-AS/u-R1-D1). That one was a surprise on a micro rollover in a sheltered meadow.
