Weather

Overcast and mild, with gusty winds that mixed below treeline at times; Light/ previous windloading. Squall blew through early afternoon w burst of S2 and moderate S winds w strong gusts that were moving snow.

Snowpack

Freshly-formed wind and sun crusts on most slopes. Lots of wind damage, but only a few spots with freshly formed wind slabs. Lingering instability at 2/23 interface, which is buried about 45 cm below surface, rounding, but still propagating in tests.

Avalanche

Two older crowns from slides during the natural avalanche cycle earlier this week.
