Weather

At 10,700 feet, steady S1 intensity snow. Winds light in protected areas, but increased after 1pm. Moderate winds in exposed areas. Reduced visibility at higher elevations due to snow fall and blowing snow.

Snowpack

NW aspect, 10700 feet, protected from wind by trees, 6cm of storm snow. HS - 29cm. Snowpack surprisingly unaffected by wind. Very little slab while randomly probing area. Snow pits showed 10cm base layer of facets (4F- hardness) with three layers above (10-15cm 4F+ hardness, 15-23cm 4F hardness, 23-29cm F hardness storm snow). New snow appeared to be bonding fairly well with older snow. Stability tests - STM(RP)@10cm, CT11(PC)@23cm.
