no depth investigation, mid-thigh ski pen of soft snow. 10-12" new snow slightly cohesive over very un-cohesive faceted old surface snow. new snow becoming cohesive with some shooting cracks and propagation u to 20-30 feet on steep convex rollovers. small terrain features of up to 40 degrees were sloughing with minor propagation. most failures were in top 6" of new snow on a intra-storm interface
