Snowpack

Looking at the terrain surrounding Huntsman Ridge, the wind event during the last few days caused natural avalanches to run on many different aspects near and above treeline. The largest avalanches I observed today were on south aspects above treeline, interesting considering the recent southwest winds. Wind has affected the snowpack on many slopes, down to about 10,000 ft in elevation in this area. Near and above treeline, significant amounts of snow has moved around.
