Snowpack
I laid a substantial ski cut from left to right across the northern aspect of Champion Gulch under Red Mountain Three. I descended approximately 500 ft when a large soft slab came loose about 20 ft below me. It shattered as the 100 ft wide crown broke. I skied away to the right and watched the slab run over a rock field and a steep. The crown was at least three feet deep. It left debris over 100 yards. I skinned back up to the ridge thankfully unharmed.
