Snowpack
Did a pit on a S aspect at 10,700 above maroon lake with around a 30 deg slope which was showing a supportive crust with the potential for good corn skiing. HS: 170. CT 12 and CT 14 (SC) about 60cm down from the surface. Followed up with an ECTP 20 (SP) on the same layer. From the top down we had a 5cm new crust from the most recent storm snow, below that was around a 20-30cm firm settled crust (1F+) sitting atop a Pencil Hardness ice layer. Below that was about 20cm of 4F consolidated rounding wet grains. Then another 2-3cm ice crust layer and below that the unsupportive wet facets (breaking point in all tests roughly 60cm down).
