Weather

Hotter than Justin Bieber's dance moves. Thin clouds built through the day to broken by the afternoon. Light west winds. No snow transport.

Snowpack

On S/SE below treeline. Snowpack: Snowdepths around 3 feet or less. Isothermal with basal facets becoming wet grains. 5-8 inch refreeze overnight, and ski pen changed from supportive to crotch deep by noon as the surface quickly softened and became very wet midday. Avalanches: We experienced one moderate collapse and triggered one wet slab from a ridge feature which lurched forward 6" but didn't slide down on a ~25 degree slope. This failed about a foot deep on wet grains and propagated 20 feet wide.
