about 20 degrees, mostly cloudy with occasional sun. Generally windy up on the ridge.
Snowpack
Generally a few inches of fresh snow on top of consolidated slab on top of weaker crystallized layer. We stayed off loaded slopes above 30 degrees (sorry, we didn't dig any pits), though we did a bit of descending on south-facing slopes that seemed reasonably solid. In general, we traveled on consolidated slab, but occasionally we broke through to the weak crystallized layer below, usually because of buried willows. One incident of settling (whumphing) on a flat section at about 5pm.
