Weather
Cold with strong southwesterly winds. Mostly cloudy, but solar radiation was strong during short intermittent periods of clearer skies.
Snowpack
20cm of new snow is generally well-bonded to the old snow surface. Easterly aspects near and above treeline harbor slightly stiffer wind slabs around 60cm thick. There is a poorly defined dust layer below the new snow and a couple supportable crusts of varying thickness and hardness below the dust. Moisture content of the deeper snowpack varies significantly with aspect and elevation.
