There was evidence of a widespread avalanche cycle in the area - not suprising after the high hazard and warm temperatures over the weekend. Test results on the persistent weak layer showed that it is getting more stubborn and difficult to trigger, but still has the potential to fail - creating large avalanches. The best riding was on sunny slopes after it had warmed up and melted the crust or on high elevation north facing slopes where there was still some dry snow to be found.
