Weather

Partly cloiudy, ~20F, light W/SW

Snowpack

18-20 inches fell over a roughly 48 hour period with wind depositon pockets up to 3 ft thick. The snowpack is seemingly touchy on multiple aspects and at different elevations. Previous melt-freeze crusts formed beneath the recent snowfall vary in strength, as some are collapsible over well developed facets below and some are supportive to ski and even boot pen.

Avalanche

Remote triggered avalanche from a ridgeline. Estimate I was 75-100 feet from the highest failure point of the slide.
