Beauty Day Eh.

Beauty day for a quick ski tour near Fernie. In a sheltered area at 2050 m there was just under 2 metres of snow. The Feb 1 crust was 6 cm thick and had 30 cm of snow on top of it. We stuck to the trees up high and the open bowl down lower so we didn't run into any old windslabs. Depending on how much snow we get on the weekend, the Feb 1 crust could become a critical avalanche layer in steep start zones, but today it was all good.
