Evidence of small point release loose snow avalanches and slightly larger storm slab avalanches on steeper slopes seen from groundhog lake. Large recent fracture visible from trail on ridge behind the lake. Other snowmobilers in the area reported triggering an avalanche with a machine with no rider on it that buried the machine. New snow is 40-80cm deep. Not as much evidence of wind transport as there was at prosserpine area the day before. Weather was mixed overcast and snowing in the morning, clearer periods with a little sun in the afternoon. Snowed heavily in wells/Barkerville overnight.
