Day was well-forcasted. Southern slopes were scoured well by strong winds, northern ones were loaded. More sheltered terrain was soft and glorious, more open terrain and wind effect and wind slabs, which were touchy to human triggering, and had naturaled as well. Still thin and not consequential if one avoided exposure, but certainly were present, and likely to get larger as the storm progresses

Thin wind slabs observed on the way up, a couple tiny bits on the W ridge. Some naturals on the NE face seen on the way up Party was confident exploring due to low exposure and thinness of the wind slabs. More sheltered terrain near the ridge was stable and softer, the more open face was more affected. First skier triggered 2 slabs, but was only carried at a slow speed, and not buried. No injuries. Lower elevations in the alpine were very wind affected, either slabs or compressed snow Numbers are best estimates from visual observation. We skied the slide paths and departed the terrain with haste
