Frequent flyer reached the skintrack recently, likely during a period of high winds. Flurries and light to moderate winds adding to the windslab problem. Recent Na slabs to size 2 observed from recent winds. Hand shear in 8812 bowl found hard wind slab failing easily on facets down 30 cm.

Snowpack

5 cm's of recent HN overlies a variety of old surfaces in the alpine, varying from hard windslabs to 5cm breakable windcrust. In sheltered areas below treeline the recent Hn is sitting on on 30cm's of low density faceted HST. Interfaces were found down 50 and 70 cm with no results in compression test, but planar shears identified in shovel shear test on a SE aspect at 2050m
