Toured up just above the Ursus Trees today. Great skiing to be had! Travel was between 1300-2375m. Skin track is skiable car to car with a bit of caution and the occasional bunny hop over bare spots. Skiing starts to become a little more treacherous at around 1800-1900m with more logs and rocks lurking just below the surface. Ski pen was 15-30cm. Overcast skies which occasional broke to let a little bit of sun in. Light to moderate snowfall in the afternoon. LSW winds. Probed 190-225cm at 2300m. Lots of wind affect observed in the alpine. In places there was a supportive slab 10cm deep from the strong wind but it didn’t seem reactive (no shooting cracks or whoomphing). Some dry loose sz 1-1.5 observed on steep slopes off Cheops. No other avalanche activity noted.
