Weather

Moderate to high wind out of the northwest with no snow transport occuring as the fetches are presently bare.

Snowpack

Above treeline, the snowpack is limited to wind-loaded areas and remains highly variable, with as little as 60cm of primarily faceted snow on northern aspects and as much as 2m of very firm wind-packed snow on eastern aspects. Near treeline, the snowpack is more consistent, generally around 150cm of firm, well-bonded snow with a softer wind slab sitting on top. This wind slab is only around 15cm deep, but was found to be fairly reactive both on ski cuts and compression tests. Below treeline, the snowpack is very much spring-like with 60-80cm of a well-bonded isothermal snowpack.
