Quartz ridge, Sunshine Meadows

Sportive melt freeze crust with 3-4 cm of wind pressed snow on top made for good skiing and travel in the sunshine meadows. Skied the NE aspect off Quartz ridge, no crust felt. Low angle solar aspects skied well to. Steep solar aspects had variable crust especially if it had been skied before and were unpleasant. Cornices were growing and wind slabs in certain features. No melt today except in the parking lot.
