Tent Ridge Trees

We went up through the smaller gully and up the bowl to the tree line. We stopped at the bench halfway up the bowl and skied down through the open trees. There was about 30 cm of powder on top of a thick crust. We stayed away from the alpine slope above the bench as we saw that the cornice on the top SE face of the bowl had collapsed, and with the sun exposure, we weren't sure about the stability. Another group came up after us and did ski the alpine right under the collapsed cornice and they seemed to be fine.
