Bow Hut route

Went into Bow Hut Saturday and came out Sunday. Lake was suspicious so we went around. Coverage on the whole route is very good for this time of year. The canyon is filled in well, only one minor crossing. Lots of debris slid into the canyon during the storm making it seem a bit safer. Crust found up to 2200m. Snow was largely wind affected everywhere and slow skiing sticky cold snow. Nothing spooky on the headwall. I didn't venture up onto the glacier but friends said they could not hit ice while probing, coverage was excellent for this early in the season. Heard a few whumpfs below treeline. Lake seemed more frozen on Sunday, still took it wide but it should be safe soon.
