Skied various terrain at Log Cabin today. Pretty typical: nice unconsolidated powder in the trees, and increasingly wind affected as you gain elevation above treeline. Above treeline variable windslab sitting on depth hoar - in shallow rocky areas windslab as thin as a few cms to as deep as ~60-80cms just below the dog leg's knee. Nice skiing in the gullies and trees today. Noted surface hoar (feathers) above treeline - in hindsight wished I made a better map of it, but as I recall it was fairly widely distributed in pockets.
