Weather

Sunny, Southeast aspect, the avalanche started about 13000 (250 feet below the summit)

Snowpack

Transitional, a deceptively weak freeze with frozen new snow on a crust conceaing near iso-thermal snow underneath.

Avalanche

1 avalanche, almost certainly triggered by myself from below. The avalanche started around 13000 feet on a Southeast aspect. I was fortunate to be able to self arrest on a subtle bench before the slope steepened. The avalanche ran to the flat area above Lake Caroline (around 12200 feet).
