Cloudy at sunrise, air temperature -10, calm winds from East, no blowing snow - at 11,500 feet, NE facing - South Diamond Peak, Medicine Bow Range.
Snowpack
Small instabilities in wind slabs at ridge line, wind slabs fractured 3 foot by 3 foot sections, 4 cm thick, within 20 yards of the ridge. No instabilities noticed lower or in other areas. However, test pit (11,500 feet, NE facing, 40.51585 -105.90525) propagated at 61 cm above ground at interface between storm snows from a couple weeks ago (ECTP 13, SC, 61cm from ground). Rain crust still exists in lower snowpack, but didn't initiate in tests (see pit graph attached).
