Weather
Partly cloudy. At times the sun came out and glistened off every snow crystal, other times it was foggy and visibility was poor. Winds were calm to mild and temps seemed pretty average for mid-December.
Snowpack
Lots of new snow. Stellar and decomposing snow crystals made for excellent riding conditions today, though lots of logs in the Bald Spot egress made for a pretty technical exit from the drainage.
Avalanche
No avalanches were observed today. Only minor cracking, and no collapsing, whumping, or other signs of instability were noted on today's tour either. It is worth noting that there is a LOT of new snow building up in this zone. The possibility of human triggered avalanches still seemed quite possible and obvious to us today due to recent snow fall despite the lack of obvious avalanche activity reported here.
