Weather

One or two clouds developed in the afternoon. Periods of calm followed by strong N to NW winds ATL but below ridges. Ridge line winds were steady 20's. Some large plumes noted on Mt Elbert.

Snowpack

Quite variable. ATL terrain could range from many feet deep to bare ground. Primarily due to the normal wind influence & impacts. South London Mine Basin was very wind scoured, with more snow coverage across the basins moving north toward Tweeto & Buckskin peaks.

Avalanche

We saw one fresh large Persistent Slab Avalanche on NE to E aspect above TL. Two others a bit older,(few days older), one was more NNE aspect. Birdseye drainage NE of twin summit Prospect Mtn, eastern summit.
