Weather

Light snowfall and VERY COLD for April. In fact, a cold day even if it were February! North breeze made it even chillier (below zero temps with wind chill index).

Snowpack

The recent series storms has left cold snow sitting on a snowpack that was moving towards a more spring-like regime. In general, new snow has come in warm and has bonded well to older snow. Unfortunately each of our recent storms came with significant dust as well. The new snow/dust layers have different bonding characteristics depending on aspect and (presumably) elevation.
