Snowpack

Skied summit bowl of Whetstone on Wednesday. At 11:00 above treeline SE surface 5cm of snow had softened up, above a strong melt-freeze crust. Stability tests, cornice drops, and ski cut provided no signs of instability. NE terrain at treeline was still cold and low density. Below tree line on E- SE snow had transitioned. In valley bottom snow had zero support, and ski pen was all the way to the ground.
