Weather

Moderate winds with strong gusts but no snow transport. Warm and few to scattered skies.

Snowpack

Above treeline, snow surface is a mix of firm wind hardened surfaces, sastrugi, rippled soft snow, old rain glazed crusts (on windward aspects near ridgeline), and melt-freeze crusts (on southerly aspects). Westerly slopes in particular had the most pronounced faceting at the surface, frequently capped by a thin wind crust.

Avalanche

Encountered the most impressive slide I've seen from the Feb cycle yet. See avalanche details and photos.
