Weather

Varied from broken to few skies. No precip. Temps rose to 44F at lower plot and 31F at ridgetop. Winds were moderate from the WSW, with gusts in the 30’s. Minimal snow transport.

Snowpack

Snowpack: Refrozen wet grains on E to S to W aspects at all elevations. Winds and periods of cloud cover kept surface warming at bay. Lower and mid elevations thawed around noon with ski pen 3-5” deep.

Avalanche

One new large cornice fall on the NE face of Owen since yesterday. Sizeable chunks did nothing more than drag some surface snow with them. No other signs of instability today.
