Cool, dark and windy, especially above treeline. Periods of light snowfall with no accumulation.

Snowpack

The warm and windy Dec 10th/11th storm left a layer of dense, slabby snow on the surface. Ski pen 10-15cm. This snow was well bonded to the snow below in areas where we traveled (below tl). We received just below critical snow load for a more significant avalanche cycle. The storm totals were less than one inch of water, indicating how fragile the snowpack is...
