Weather
Obscured, with low clouds and icy haze. Sun poked through late morning to early afternoon. Calm. Cold.
Snowpack
Ski pen was 20-30 cm. Late Dec storms have settled into a fairly supportable layer on NE-E-SE near and below treeline. N aspects were less supportable with occasional trap-doors.
No signs of instability on E-SE aspects below treeline. Minor whumpfs and cracking in isolated areas N-NE.
Near treeline, previous wind loading left small, thin, reactive wind slabs. We avoided larger, fatter pillows.
