Bluebird day with warm temps and calm wind at ridgetops

Snowpack

A couple of inches of new snow skied well on all aspects. For the most part surface snow remained dry except for steeper south facing terrain. No evidence of new wind slab on westerly terrain

Avalanche

I observed a very widespread avalanche most likely following last weeks storm with high wind. The avalanche was on the lee side of a long east facing ridge above TL. My estimation is the slab propagated nearly 4000' along many steep features and convex rolls. Crown heights varied from 1'-2'
