Weather
SE wind light switching to SW/W in the PM and increasing to Moderate. Light snow increasing to S1 around midday when we left the trail head. Cold and overcast.
Snowpack
On a variety of aspects we noted varying layering all with weak basal layers. Of note were a hard crust on South aspects that was giving easy clean hand shears on small facets above. On a northerly aspect at treeline we were seeing moderate clean CT results on a layer about 20cm down with no obvious density change. Snow height varied from 70cm - 150cm, and new snow varied from 9 - 15cm.
