Marmot/Whistlers/Indian pass

Up Portal creek to Jct with Circus valley on the Heavily used Tonquin valley trail then up the open boulder field to Marmot pass and onwards to Whistlers and Indian pass. Ski penetration once off the Portal Creek trail was approx. 20cm with some breakable wind crusts. Reasonably good snow on both sides on the descent from Marmot pass. Wind affected and crusty in the alpine. Wind transport and sublimation in the p.m. No signs of recent avalanche activity. Nice tour that easily avoids avalanche terrain.
