Snowpack

Skied berthoud pass today (sunday) Windy at the top of the old lift on the west side. Definite slabs above treeline. Headed into the trees, Below say 11,200 feet in current, second, and first creek: not a lot of wind and almost no slab, easy to get a good slough going on steeper aspects. Heard some settling from time to time traversing through flat areas but did not feel it. Snowpack was like four feet of air in some spots. Fun blower powder, but very weak and it felt like it could not support much more new snow.=
