Snowpack

No signs of instability on 30-40 degree slopes near and below treeline (9700 - 11700ft). 1.5 - 3 feet of recent new snow fell on ground or on very shallow partially faceted old snow melt-freeze crusts. Recent snow showed surprisingly little wind affect, with some drifts at treeline, but no wind slab on these aspects and elevations. Freezing drizzle persisted all day on Sunday, with light crusting on snow surface. Excellent skiing!
