Near Treeline, 11,300'. North facing 18 degree slope in rolling meadows downstream of the lake. Multiple strong over weak layer interfaces observed. HS 101cm. The failure interface was 54 cm down, where a slab of 0.5mm facets rested above 3mm depth hoar. Compression tests showed moderate results (repeated) with Q1 shear quality. Extended column tests produced positive Q1 results on the 29th and 30th loading steps respectively. A propagation saw test produced propagation after 50cm in a 100 cm long column, and the propagation continued to the end of the column. No whumphing, collapsing, or cracking was observed during travel.
