Weather

Mostly clear skies with very light wind out of the West that kicked up a notch toward sunset. Rapid warming between 11 and noon today reaching a high around 2c soon after.

Snowpack

HS 125cm. New storm snow sits on buried surface hoar @ 90cm in height. Persistent Slab layer is ranging around 50cm's in height. Another possible lingering layer is around the 25cm area. keeping the surface instability in mind the top portion of the pack is relatively uniform is size with a nice transition of grain composition, but right at this 50cm area is such a marked jump of character. Weak and crunchy, crusty sandy crystals. Like half a loaf of old dry french bread left in the sun.
