Clear skies turning to partly cloudy with gusty winds and ridgetop pluming.
Snowpack
Highly variable snowpack underfoot with well-preserved soft snow to pencil windslab to sticky, wet surface snow. No signs of instability BTL , with pockets of windslab NTL and above easily triggered by skier weight. Significant crusts on solar aspects.
Avalanche
Observed fresh debris from a slide that came out of Chaos Couloir on Hallet. The slide initiated in windslab on an Easterly aspect and ran on old snow. It was estimated to be R3 D2.
