Good morning, Our storm was a bit slow to arrive, but it is packing a punch, bringing very heavy snowfall (1"-3"/hour) and strong southwest winds. Visibility is poor and driving conditions are treacherous. Current in Silverton: Overcast, snowing, winds SSE/10 Current on passes: Southern passes have been favored so far : Looks like ~10"-12" on Coal Bank, ~6"-8" on RMP and Molas, and less in the Gorge (2"-4"?). Current weather stations: Temps: 8º-9ºF . Winds have blown from the south 25-35 mph (gust into the high 60's) over the past 24 hours, but have started to veer to the west over the past hour. RH 84%-91%. Snowfall will continue through the day, with clearing after sundown. The winds are forecast to veer to the northwest mid-morning which will shift the focus of snowfall to the north side of the range.
