Weather

Periods of scattered with quickly moving snow showers. S2 @14:30 with 3cm new. Temps stayed below freezing and dropped in PM. Periods of gusty moderate winds from West. Isolated wind loading, not much fetch currently. @ 10K, NNE aspect, 10:00-14:00 observation time.

Snowpack

Very large depth hoar (6-8mm) still present and reactive (CTH) in shallower snow pits (120cm). Two facet/crust layers observed mid and upper snow pack (40cm down and 60cm down). New storm/wind deposited snow is not bonding well with existing, clean shears under light loads. No cracking, whoomphing, or avalanche activity observed.
