HST of ~30cm near treeline. Easy and sudden snowpack test results at old/new interface. Surface hoar layer down ~85cm. Could not get it to fail in standard tests, but would fail if you really hammered the column and failed suddenly. This layer warrants concern for Persistent Slab avalanches breaking up to 3 ft deep on N facing slopes.
