Clouds in and out. Solar radiation present. Temperatures in the low teens.

Snowpack

No cracking or whumphing, fresh snow from last few days over a slightly solar crust above an icy solar layer with our last dust storm frozen in.

Avalanche

2nd skier down the slope remote triggered R2D2 avalanche from a thin rocky spine. Crown broke a ways below him and skier was not caught. Crown was 1.5-2 feet deep and the avalanche ran approximately 900 feet.
