Beaver Creek Patrol- "The avalanche way reported by guests riding chair ten at 0952. The initial report from the folks riding chair ten was that a skier had triggered an avalanche in the slick slide area (39.5813N, 106.5367W). The reporting party saw where the skier initially triggered the slide but had lost sight of him as he slid down the open face. Around 1015 the first two rescuers arrived on scene. They recognized it was a SS avalanche. Initially they saw no defined crown or flanks however the slide path was recognizable, the two continued on the deposition. Deposition pile was estimated at 20m wide and ran 120m. In the deepest parts of deposition pile were 1/2m. The rescuers saw four pairs of ski tracks coming out of the debris (unknown how many from incident) , completed a beacon and recco search and given the lack of deposition felt comfortable calling the site clear."
