Weather
No significant wind loading in the area that I was in. Warm temps and a moist snow surface on easterly slopes even with the wind.
Snowpack
The upper snowpack is of poor structure with a 12 to 18 inch slab resting on top of a 1 inch layer of weak faceted snow. Underneath the faceted layer the the snow is one-finger to pencil hardness. Multiple easy results in extended column test on the faceted layer buried 12 to 18 inches deep. Due east aspects (below treeline) are less concerning than shady aspects as there is less of a slab and a hard crust beneath the thin slab. (See video for more info.)
