Weather
Cold and cloudy. Winds only noticeable at ridge level. Light snow moving in and out through morning.
Snowpack
Snowpack depth ranged from 1-2m. Ski pen 30cm, boot pen as long as my leg. Winds were beginning to move snow, trees still well rimed/snowcovered so plenty of snow available for transport, and wind obviously has not picked up since storm. Only signs of surface instability were found on near treeline east facing slopes where small cornices were easily triggered, did not entrain much snow before stopping. On steep slopes I would expect these to gain volume and speed. Moderate cracking at surface where wind had drifted snow.
