We saw a substantial amount of new snow. Breaking trail was about 30 cm deep. We noticed close to 0 °C up to about 1800 m and even a little bit of light rain. The storm snow layer was dense and had slab quality. We saw pin wheeling and a few 1 m wide slabs about 20 cm deep on steep slopes beside trees. We stayed in mellow terrain and in the trees and avoided steep slopes and convexities.
