Clear, light west winds, and chilly. -6C at 3 pm.

Snowpack

Found surface hoar to be the primary surface form on shady and sheltered slopes near and below TL. A snow profile below TL on a NE aspect also revealed a buried surface hoar layer down 30 cm. The buried surface hoar produced repeated sudden results in small column tests but a large column test did not indicate propagation.
