Clear morning after 20190117 Storm. Strong SW ridgetop winds were notable from snow plumes over peaks and ridges ATL and NTL. W 10800', Switchbacks NE of Lindley Hut. Sky: FEW Precip.: None Wind: Strong, SW Blowing Snow: Moderate (Intense at ridgetops) Temp: 25 deg. F S 10450 Lindley Hut Sky: Few Precip: None Wind: Light, variable Temp.: 36 deg. F

Snowpack

W 10800' Localized whumpfing and cracking. HS: 90-120cm, HN: 5cm, HST: 17-20cm Surf: DFbk, Ski Pen 30 to 50cm.

Avalanche

Many x SS-N-R2-D2, South East, 12700' (SE Face of Malamute Peak) Avalanches running from start zones just below ridgetops and stopping within the start zone or mid track. Activity peaked around 9:00am and tapered off by 12:00. SS-N-R2-D2-O, North, 11900' ran to top of runout zone (TR) in bowl below sub-peak west of Star Peak. Many Dry Loose in steep terrain (45 deg.+) East, 10800'
